Muffin anyone?

For our first assignment in the commercial concentration we were asked to shoot a baked good for breakfast so I chose this muffin.  We were asked to set up the lighting to give a sense of morning time so I used soft window light and a fill card in the front.  I shot this with a Nikon D90 ISO 200 f/ 5.0 @ 1/2 sec.  Enjoy I hope this makes you want to eat a delicious muffin with a hot cup of coffee.

  2. I love this shot. The detail in the muffin is great. The lighting is a little flat but I think it works for this high key image. The only thing that bothers me is the amount of white, empty space at the top of the frame. I'm not sure how that could be fixed. Maybe by adding a fork and knife or something. But there seems to be too much empty space for me. Overall I great photo tho.

  3. As I told you before, I love this image! It has a nice editorial magazine feel to it. I would've used the hair dryer method on the chocolate to hide the Hershey's logo. It's very clean and simple, which I like. And I enjoy the high key lighting.

  4. This shot is so sophisticated and high class. ;)
Can't believe that muffin is from wal-mart when I see this shot.
The pop of colorful berries at the bottom is also great, it just all works really well together.
