Polish It Up
For my second self promo I wanted to do a product shot of nail polish and instead of doing just the spill I wanted to be creative with it. It took me a while to get this idea of the O with the word curling around the bottle and it took some time to perfect the polish because I had to paint it on myself but in the end I like it and I hope you do too. I used the same lighting set up as the foundation below just a few more fill cards.

The lighting looks great and I really think the composition is strong. The only thing I would change is removing the word that is painted on the white. I think the O symbol itself would have been strong enough for the viewer to know it was the logo on the bottle. Overall great job!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this shot. I thought the idea to create the logo with the product was interesting. Like Alyssa said though, I think you should've just continued the O instead of writing ORLY.
